Wake Lakes

Set your GPS to our wake lakes for the most flexibility of water sports since they permit motorized boats.

Lake Loch Lomond

Lake Loch Lomond is the newest and largest of the lakes in Bella Vista, AR. After being formed in 1981 by the Lake Loch Lomond Dam, it’s become one of the local favorites for partaking in the range of popular sports permitted here.

Rent a boat at the Lakepoint Marina, a full-service marina, and explore this irregularly shaped lake, expanding 477 acres. Hold on for a wild ride with speed boating, water skiing, and wakeboarding fun. Anglers can cast their lines from the pier at Tiree Park or drop their line in the deeper fishery waters—up to 80 feet—for a chance to hook largemouth bass, bluegill, and crappie.

This lake is perfect for nature lovers. It was the second lake established in our community, with its dam creating more than just another body of water.

Visitors have 112 acres of lake surface area for speed boating, tubing, and water skiing. Several trails extend from the lake, taking you to the scenic Pinion Creek Falls rushing over the limestone bluffs—you get the best few from the overlook bridge. Also, it connects to the Back 40 for mountain bike trails and wildlife spotting.

Lake Windsor

Measuring as Bella Vista’s second largest lake, Lake Windsor is a go-to place for water recreation. It offers 220 acres of wake-permitted fun. You’ll see everything from motorized boats tugging water skiers to fishing boats loaded with patient anglers waiting for the next bite from the abundance of bass and sunfish swimming in it. Take note, while many of our properties include access to the lakes, boats, and other lake gear, visitors are required to have a fishing license.

Lake Windsor has ample green spaces for planning a leisurely afternoon. Relax in Lake Windsor Pontoon Park with walking trails and tree shade, or head to London Park for a picnic beneath the London Pavilion.

No Wake Lakes

Want a more peaceful setting for enjoying the local lakes? Our community features a handful of no-wake lakes where motorboats are strictly prohibited. It makes for excellent fishing or spending leisure time on the water boating.

Lake Avalon

You don’t need to travel to an exotic island to find white-sand beaches. Bella Vista’s original lake makes it possible for all beachcombers looking to plan some time in the sand during their visit.

The Bella Vista Property Owners Association (POA) has been hard at work this year, improving Lake Avalon for many more generations.

This is the perfect lake to let the kids splash in the shallow waters just off the beach. And since it’s one of the no-wake lakes in Bella Vista, AR, you have the waters to yourself for more leisure water activities like paddle boarding and fishing.

As a bonus, embark on the nearby 2.2-mile loop of Tanyard Creek Nature Trail to see one of our most beautiful waterfalls.

Lake Brittany

Hop in your car and drive east on the winding roads to reach Lake Brittany. While it’s one of the smaller lakes in town, the fish swimming beneath the surface are the exact opposite!

Grab your fishing pole and pick a spot in or around the lake. The dam is a great place to pitch your chair and wait for a tug on the line or join local anglers on the fishing docks. The boat ramp makes it convenient for dropping in your boat to paddle to more favorable waters if the shore doesn’t have any action.

You can find fish year-round here. The size of the resident bass may even become your trophy catch, and there are also trout swimming about. There’s a fish cleaning station onsite.

Lake Norwood

Just off Bella Vista Hwy to the north is Lake Norwood. Although it’s also small in size compared to the other lakes in Bella Vista, AR, its location in our town center and near the Mildred B. Cooper Memorial Chapel boosts its popularity for our guests.

The irony is that the undeveloped lake shoreline makes you feel the most in nature. Thick trees line the banks as members enjoy kayaking and paddling on the tranquil waters.

If you want to fit in with the locals, pack your lunch, sit on the picnic tables overlooking the lake, and meet some of your friendly town neighbors.

Lake Rayburn

You’re in luck when you snag a reservation at our Lakeside Nest property. You’ll have your very own private dock to access one of Bella Vista’s most peaceful lakes.

Gone fishing! A phrase you’ll be chanting your entire stay while spending time on this lake, seeing how many catfish and largemouth bass you’ll catch. It has 45 feet of surface for kayaking and paddle boarding (gear provided with the rental!). There’s even a dedicated swimming area.

Alternatively, tow your boat on Lakeside Drive to access the lake’s launch ramp.

Honorary Mentions
